Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (HR certification is an asset)
  • 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience with both Canadian and US Employment Laws
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. employment laws
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and influence decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving initiatives from concept to completion
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage and inspire teams

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to attract, select, and retain top-tier talent
  • Develop and implement workforce planning and succession strategies aligned with long-term business goals
  • Partner with leaders to assess talent needs and streamline hiring processes for efficiency and impact
  • Coach managers and senior leaders on performance evaluations, career development, and leadership effectiveness
  • Lead talent assessment initiatives to support data-driven decisions around development, promotions, and succession
  • Drive performance management programs that foster continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence
  • Champion initiatives that build an inclusive, high-performance culture and enhance employee experience
  • Support recognition programs that celebrate achievements and reinforce company values
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions
  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment through proactive issue resolution
  • Act as a strategic HR advisor, ensuring policies and programs align with business priorities
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll administration in collaboration with internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. employment laws, staying ahead of emerging trends and risks
