Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong commercial mindset with prior experience selling to, speaking to, or interacting with Risk personas. A solid understanding of fixed income/credit markets, gained through experience at a financial institution, asset manager, or financial data/technology firm, is essential. The role requires strong communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills, along with the confidence to engage with senior executives and decision-makers.

Responsibilities

The Sales Specialist will be responsible for achieving revenue targets by expanding existing product sales and introducing new products across Credit, Global Insights, Data, Valuations, and Risk Analytics. They will act as an ambassador for Risk & Valuation Services (RVS) within S&P Global and the market, representing the voice of the customer to influence product and commercial strategy. Responsibilities include building and executing territory strategies, managing a sales territory, fostering connections with Market Intelligence stakeholders, driving cross-business unit referrals, building relationships with local regulatory bodies, and adopting a disciplined approach to tracking activity, pipeline accuracy, and forecasting. The role also involves embracing a customer-focused, diagnostic selling approach and partnering closely with internal teams such as Product Management, Market Development, Legal, and Client Support.
