Sales Manager - Adult Beverage Insights (NIQ/Walmart)

Company Description

NIQ/Walmart's Adult Beverage Insights Program is seeking a motivated Sales Manager to drive sales, manage revenue impact, and leverage insights for assigned targets. This is a sales-focused role with a sales-based incentive tied to annual revenue generation, in addition to base compensation.


Position Overview

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading sales efforts within the NIQ/Walmart Adult Beverage Insights Program. Your success will be measured by your ability to:

  • Execute against annual sales targets: Focus on new client acquisition and retention/upselling of existing clients.
  • Demonstrate value through insights: Help clients translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Build strong partnerships: Foster internal and external relationships to support sales and customer success.

Your background in Walmart and the Adult Beverage industry will be crucial in crafting compelling business cases, leading impactful presentations to suppliers and distributors, and demonstrating how NIQ insights drive ROI and urgency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for assigned clients and targets.
  • Leverage insights to build persuasive proposals and sales materials tailored to client needs.
  • Support the Program Director of Sales with thought leadership deliverables, lead generation templates, and management of the pricing tool.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and update opportunity statuses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Account Leads, SDRs, Product) to align on client strategy.
  • Cultivate relationships with key client stakeholders (Account Manager – Sales and Category, Analysts).
  • Monitor contracts to ensure timely delivery and renewal readiness.
  • Provide client feedback to product teams to inform solution enhancements.

You are a natural salesperson with a can-do attitude, driven to exceed targets and passionate about turning insights into action. You excel at testing new ideas, uncovering critical data points, building relationships with decision-makers, and confidently closing deals.

Your ability to listen deeply to understand client needs, craft compelling business stories, and translate data into demonstrable ROI and urgency, backed by strong communication and negotiation skills, will set you apart.


Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience with Walmart Sales and Supply Chain Insights and/or the Adult Beverage Industry.
  • Proven success in consultative, data-driven solution selling.
  • Strong "hunter" mentality with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience managing full sales cycles (short and long).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • High sense of urgency and accountability to deliver results.
  • Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools and platforms is a plus.

Additional Information

Compensation:

  • Anticipated Base Compensation Range: $74,900.00 - $77,000.00 per year.
  • Actual salaries will vary based on candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
  • This role may be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
