Sales Engineer

Position Overview

Dialpad is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our collaborative team. In this role, you will be responsible for running demos and proof of concepts, gathering success criteria, configuring systems, providing admin and user training, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with Account Executives to understand customer needs and present Dialpad solutions effectively. This position requires an in-depth understanding of Dialpad's products and services, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver product demonstrations and high-touch proof of concepts.
  • Gather success criteria, configure systems, and provide admin and user training.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during the sales process.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to identify key customer requirements and present tailored Dialpad solutions.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Dialpad's products and services.
  • Build technical relationships with prospects.
  • Contribute to the Sales team throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Learn and utilize technical tools used by the Sales Engineering team for network environment testing.
  • Complete a Sales Engineering Demo Certification.

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of customer-facing experience in roles such as Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Solutions Consultant.
  • Technical curiosity and enthusiasm for delivering technology solutions that improve work experiences.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like JavaScript and Python.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and rapport-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in active listening and effective questioning techniques.
