Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of customer-facing experience in roles such as Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or similar positions, demonstrating a technical curiosity and excitement for delivering technology solutions. Familiarity with scripting languages like JavaScript and Python is preferred, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, including rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
As a Sales Engineer, the individual will own product demonstrations and proof of concepts, including gathering success criteria, system configuration, admin training, user training, and troubleshooting. They will collaborate closely with Account Executives to identify customer requirements and present Dialpad solutions, contributing to the Sales team by building technical relationships, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and running high-touch proof of concepts. This role also involves learning technical tools, completing a Sales Engineering Demo Certification, and partnering with various teams including Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support to address complex communications problems.
