Requirements

Candidates must possess a strong technical background with over 5 years of industry experience and a minimum of 3 years in a Sales/Solutions Engineering role for a SaaS business. Hands-on experience building and deploying to cloud infrastructure using multiple services from major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and vendors (Datadog, MongoDB, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.) is essential. The ideal candidate is a professional who represents the company well, enjoys technical infrastructure, and thrives on customer interaction, expecting to spend over 50% of their time with clients.

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to aligned accounts, technical teams, and business stakeholders, utilizing strong communication skills to influence decisions through presentations, demos, and technical engagements. They will partner with Account Executives to convey the Vantage value proposition, vision, and strategy, understanding the customer's journey and owning technical validation of proposed solutions. Responsibilities include proactively engaging with the product team to prioritize features, communicating and following up with customers on technical details via Zoom, Slack, and Email, and driving technical escalations by collaborating with engineering, product management, and customer success teams. A deep understanding of Vantage, supported integrations, and the FinOps space is also required.
