Position Overview

Our Intelligent NetOps solution enhances agility and mitigates risks associated with high rates of change through a unified management lifecycle, from provisioning to proactive troubleshooting and remediation.

We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic individual with a strong understanding of the IT challenges faced by large enterprise organizations to join us as a Sales Engineer. If you are a Sales Engineer with a network-related career background, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Engineer/Solutions Architect, you will:

  • Work closely with our sales team, clients, and partners, taking ownership of the technical aspects of engagements to ensure customer success.
  • Deliver on-site and web-based discussions and formal presentations to broad audiences.
  • Actively participate in trade shows, seminars, and speaking engagements.
  • Help identify new business opportunities.
  • Take the technical lead in responding to proposals and RFPs.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support during the evaluation of BlueCat’s solutions.
  • Consult on solution architecture within the context of the client’s network infrastructure and business goals.
  • Design solution architectures using BlueCat and related technologies.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management on product functionality and future enhancements.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to audiences of varying levels.
  • Ability to understand customer objectives, ask the right questions, and control conversations.
  • Outstanding presentation and selling skills.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Network, Security, Virtualization, or Cloud Systems Sales Engineer role.
  • Good network system administration experience and familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience designing solution architectures for enterprise software, networking, virtualization, cloud, security, or systems integration companies.
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, and LAN/WAN design.
  • Intermediate scripting skills and experience in programming languages such as Python and/or Perl.
  • Knowledge of managing DNS and DHCP on Windows Server is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of LINUX platforms is an advantage.
