Requirements

Candidates must have a networking, security, and/or cloud background with strong selling, solution engineering, and architecture design skills. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Network, Security, Virtualization, or Cloud Systems Sales Engineer role is required, along with good network system administration experience and familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. Experience designing solution architectures for enterprise software, networking, virtualization, cloud, security, or systems integration companies is essential. Knowledge of routing, switching, and LAN/WAN design is necessary. Intermediate scripting skills and experience with programming languages like Python and/or Perl are beneficial. Familiarity with LINUX platforms and managing DNS/DHCP on Windows Server is also advantageous. Strong presentation skills and an understanding of complex technical sales cycles for large enterprise clients are crucial.

Responsibilities

The Solution Architect will work closely with the sales team, clients, and partners, taking ownership of the technical aspects of engagements to ensure customer success. Responsibilities include delivering on-site and web-based discussions and formal presentations, participating in trade shows and speaking engagements, identifying new business opportunities, and taking the technical lead in responding to proposals and RFPs. The role involves providing technical pre-sales support during solution evaluations, consulting on solution architecture within client network infrastructure and business goals, and designing solution architectures using BlueCat and related technologies. Additionally, the Solution Architect will provide feedback to Product Management on product functionality and future enhancements.
