Position Overview

LiveAction's Network Intelligence platform provides organizations with a comprehensive view of their network, transforming complex data into actionable insights. This empowers enterprise teams to efficiently resolve network issues, accelerate threat response, boost employee productivity, and mitigate business risks. BlueCat's suite of solutions assists network, security, applications, cloud, and DevOps teams in optimizing their IP environment to drive business outcomes. Together, these platforms enable organizations to maintain robust, efficient, and secure network operations.

LiveAction is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to engage with end customers and channel partners. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the market and technical opportunities to enhance LiveAction's go-to-market strategies, with a strong grasp of the partner landscape, their technical capabilities, and business plans. This role primarily supports accounts in the U.S.A.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in pre-sales engineering tasks, including customer demonstrations and evaluations.
  • Engage in post-sales support activities such as product turn-up, training, and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Assist in partner development to define customer technical business problems.
  • Develop best practices for end customers and channel partners to refine and research technical requirements.
  • Define solutions and articulate the benefits of LiveAction solutions compared to competitors.
  • Learn the technical elements of proposal development and support partners in building their own capabilities.
  • Develop proof-of-concept and demonstration competencies within partners.
  • Support software development engineering tasks, including providing customer product feature feedback, defining requirements, beta testing, and reviewing documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing product promotion collateral.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive and lasting customer relationships.
  • Log progress and action items using Salesforce.com.
  • Participate in industry events and tradeshows.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of enterprise sales experience, with a preference for experience in network performance management solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
  • Ideal candidates will have an expert-level understanding of communications networking operations and broad knowledge of networking technologies, engineering guidelines, industry best practices, and market solutions.
  • CCNP or CCIE certification is a plus.
  • Ability to research and demonstrate the ROI of solutions for both partners and LiveAction.
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude, driven, reliable, trustworthy, intelligent, and a strong team player.
  • Capability to work effectively as part of a team in a virtual office environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building and creative technical consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate solutions verbally.
