As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will focus on three core missions:

  1. User Engagement: Help users and prospects navigate their Grafana journey by engaging with and listening to them to provide appropriate resources and guidance.
  2. Business Development: Partner with the Sales Team to connect with influential people in target organizations, identify new business opportunities, and build pipeline for the company's revenue goals.
  3. Skill Development: Develop valuable, transferable skills to achieve career goals.

By fulfilling these missions, you will contribute to Grafana Labs’ community and business goals. The role emphasizes the connection between commercial success and the open-source DNA, seeking team members who can leverage this connection to support the company's long-term health.

In this role, you will balance reactive and proactive work, responding to inbound inquiries and outreaching to target accounts. A detective mindset is needed to craft thoughtful, value-add messaging, and confidence in driving business conversations on the phone is essential. Utilizing AI as a tool to improve productivity is also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain knowledge of Grafana's technology, competitors, open-source ecosystem, and industry trends.
  • Follow up on inbound leads effectively and efficiently.
  • Use a multi-channel approach (email, social, calling) to proactively outreach to new leads within target accounts.
  • Utilize Salesforce and Grafana dashboards for lead and account management and research.
  • Prioritize and customize outreach to target prospects and accounts via email and LinkedIn using research and data.
  • Drive effective discovery conversations to understand user needs and goals, and communicate how Grafana can help.
  • Consistently meet new business opportunity and pipeline targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and sales to achieve collective success.
