Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, and have 1-3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, specifically within the cloud native, cybersecurity, or devops industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with proficiency in using CRM systems such as HubSpot CRM or Salesforce, and other sales enablement tools. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are also necessary, alongside being self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

As a Strategic Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting and identifying potential clients in the security sales market through various techniques like cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and attending industry events. You will conduct thorough research on prospects to understand their security needs, generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads by meeting targets, qualify leads by matching them with Chainguard’s security solutions, schedule meetings and product demos, collaborate with the sales team on targeted strategies, maintain accurate CRM records, and stay informed on industry trends to better position the company’s offerings. Furthermore, you will provide feedback to marketing and product teams based on prospect interactions and participate in sales training and team meetings.
