Requirements

  • Experience interacting with and serving consumers
  • Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems, and various other retail software tools
  • 16 years of age or older
  • Ability to frequently work in an active environment requiring constant movement, adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs., using specialized equipment, with exposure to dust and noise
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others
  • Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to business trends

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store and visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards; retrieve merchandise from stock room and other inventory locations to restock the sales floor
  • Perform cash register transactions (e.g., sales, returns, and exchanges) efficiently and accurately; connect consumers to the company loyalty programs
  • Contribute to store profitability by receiving and processing incoming and outgoing products accurately and efficiently
  • Serve consumers by responding to questions regarding product features, benefits, and availability; ask questions to understand consumer needs and assist with buying decisions
  • Support Columbia Sportswear Company values to enhance the consumer experience and teamwork with fellow employees
  • Acquire necessary knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute day-to-day operations
  • Ensure product availability on the sales floor, create eye-catching visual displays, address customer inquiries, and run an efficient checkout process to create memorable customer experiences
  • Assist the Store Leadership team in supporting the company mission of “Connecting Active People with Their Passions.”
