The Motley Fool is seeking a highly skilled freelance writer with subject matter expertise in stock analysis.

Position Overview

Our writers contribute a minimum of 20 articles per month, demystifying finance by covering market insights and stock news across various industries including tech, artificial intelligence, consumer goods, financials, energy & industrials, healthcare, and more. If you have particular expertise in specific stock sectors, please highlight this. Candidates without strong professional writing experience will not be considered.

This is a flexible, 100% remote contract opportunity. Candidates must reside in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with editors to produce insightful stock analysis articles (typically 600-800 words).
  • Cover companies across diverse sectors, including tech, electric vehicles, offshore drillers, healthcare, and regional banks.
  • Write and publish a minimum of 20 articles per month.
  • Utilize provided article-level data to identify profitable article topics and angles.
  • Apply proven SEO strategies to enhance article performance.
  • Submit articles using The Motley Fool's proprietary content management system.

Requirements

  • A strong passion for teaching others about the stock market.
  • Demonstrated skill as both a writer and an analyst. Samples of your work are required.
  • A solid understanding of The Motley Fool’s investment philosophy.
