Requirements

  • Experience assessing, teaching, and assisting Assistant Club Managers of Member Experience (ACMMEs) in new clubs post 6-week hub training
  • Ability to deliver structured leadership training focused on Member Experience areas
  • Knowledge of BJ’s operational, service, and compliance standards, including GOLD execution, member engagement, frontline operations, Omni, Optical, Liquor, Gas, and HROC procedures
  • Expertise in compliance, food safety, audit preparedness, talent management, coaching, team development, business analytics, scheduling, and labor optimization
  • Capability to work in close partnership with Club Managers, Regional Operations Leaders, HR Business Partners, and Corporate Training teams
  • Willingness to travel for new club openings and related events

Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured leadership training with emphasis on Member Experience areas
  • Facilitate in-club training covering GOLD execution, member engagement, frontline operations, Omni, Optical, Liquor, Gas, HROC procedures, compliance, food safety, audit preparedness, talent management, coaching, team development, business analytics, scheduling, and labor optimization
  • Assist ACMs and CMs in key events from club turnover to grand opening, including supply receiving, department setup, and training of leads and team members
  • Assist with key tasks after Grand Opening
  • Observe ACMMEs, provide targeted performance coaching aligned with KPIs and behavior expectations
  • Track developmental milestones, certify readiness for independent role execution, identify gaps, and deliver reinforcement training
  • Prepare detailed progress assessments and provide feedback to Club Managers and Regional Ops
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development and Field Ops to improve training curriculum and update materials for policy changes, new systems (Tableau, MY WORK), or best practices
  • Share insights and feedback to influence broader training strategy and club leadership effectiveness
  • Serve as liaison between training, HR, compliance, and operations teams
  • Model inclusive leadership, ethical decision-making, and high-performance culture
  • Assist with new club openings, pilot programs, or underperforming market interventions as needed
  • Model BJ’s values and GOLD standards at all times
  • Influence future leaders through mentorship and coaching
