Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience with technical data tooling in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architect, or consulting role. Expertise in at least one data platform (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift) is required, along with experience using, deploying, or configuring dbt Cloud for a minimum of 1 year. Proficiency in writing SQL and Python in analytics contexts is necessary, as is a willingness to build skills in technical areas supporting dbt Cloud deployment and integration. Strong customer focus, organizational skills, and clear communication abilities are essential, along with comfort in a remote, collaborative environment. Travel up to 2-4 times per year for company events is also a requirement. The dbt Analytics Engineering Certification is a plus.
The Resident Architect will drive customer outcomes by leading technical projects, including implementation, configuration troubleshooting, best practice embedding, and solution design. They will provide architectural and design consulting to ensure scalable and maintainable implementations. Responsibilities include championing product adoption for strategic customers, collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Solutions Architects, Training, Support), and delivering feedback to Product and Engineering teams to prioritize customer needs. Developing deep expertise in dbt and its role in the modern data stack is also a key responsibility.
