Candidates should have 5+ years of architecture and data engineering experience within the Enterprise Data space and 5+ years of experience within a pre-sales environment. Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences are required, along with a broad range of experience within large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies. Hands-on development experience with SQL, Python, Pandas, Spark, PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, and other Big Data technologies is necessary. Candidates must also have the ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems with Snowflake’s solutions and possess some prior knowledge of Data Engineering tools for ingestion, transformation, and curation. Familiarity with real-time or near real-time use cases and technologies is essential.
The Data Platform Architect will provide leadership in the design and architecture of the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform and work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs. They will strategize on navigating winning sales cycles, provide compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and ultimately close business. The role involves presenting Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors, demonstrating the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, and collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products.
