Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development, with strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt. A solid understanding of data modeling for analytics/reporting, including fact/dimension design, is required, along with experience writing and maintaining data quality tests such as dbt tests or custom SQL assertions. Experience with modern cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, ClickHouse, or Redshift is also necessary.
The Analytics Engineer will build and maintain analytics data models using dbt, with a focus on structure, documentation, and maintainability, and collaborate with the Data Architect to apply consistent modeling standards. They will implement data quality tests and validation logic to ensure accuracy and trust across reporting layers, working with internal teams and clients to clarify requirements and align on metric logic. The role involves translating business needs into robust, reusable data models, ensuring the integrity of client-facing reports, and contributing to clear documentation and data contracts, while supporting the continuous improvement of the company's data stack.
