Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering and modeling, with a strong understanding of Agile engineering practices. Familiarity with modern data platform technologies such as Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Warehouse, and Azure Data Factory is required, along with expertise in Data Warehousing, Data ETL/ELT, Data Modeling (Dimensional/Kimball), T-SQL, and Azure Data Factory (or strong SSIS experience). Experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL, Azure Analysis Services or SSAS Tabular, and Azure DevOps/CI/CD is also necessary. Preferred skills include Azure Synapse/Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Power BI/DAX, Databricks, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure AD, Data Vault, database administration and performance tuning, SSIS, Python, and application development. Previous consulting experience is a plus, and candidates must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

The Solution Architect will design, build, and deliver end-to-end data and analytics solutions for enterprise clients using Azure data engineering and modern data platform technologies. Responsibilities include discussing best practices and strategies for modern data and analytics with clients, integrating data sources to build models and reports, configuring and operationalizing cloud infrastructure in Azure, and effectively communicating Microsoft's cloud data strategy and roadmap. The role also requires staying current with Microsoft technologies and modern data platform best practices, collaborating with clients to identify and address business needs, and presenting a positive, professional image while responding to clients in a timely manner.
