Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience leading successful sales teams and a minimum of 8 years of successful direct sales experience. Experience navigating complex sales cycles (2-6 months), building relationships with C-level executives, and shaping strategic seven-figure deals is required. MEDDPICC expertise and experience with ROI and cost modeling are also necessary, along with excellent communication, presentation, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills. A background in technical applications and familiarity with open-source software are considered a plus.
The Regional Sales Director will lead a team of Account Executives to drive revenue growth, retain and attract new talent, and expand the customer base within their assigned territory. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, mentoring the sales team, and strategically partnering with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Solution Engineers, R&D, and Customer Support. The role involves guiding the team through a consultative sales approach, articulating product value, building prospect relationships, and helping close deals. Additionally, the director will establish sales territories, quotas, and goals, build an annual sales plan, prepare for QBRs and HBRs, and develop long-term strategic relationships with key customer contacts.
