Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in healthcare, long-term care, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of sales experience. They should have the ability to interact with all levels of staff at customer locations, demonstrate a proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships, and have experience in sourcing, sales, and closing new business. A strong understanding of skilled nursing facilities, hospice, or home care industries is necessary, as is a valid driver's license. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, is required, with Salesforce experience being a plus. The role demands excellent organizational skills, work habits, interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities, along with the capacity to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

The Regional Business Manager will engage existing and prospective customers to offer behavioral health solutions, oversee all operations for their prescribed region(s), and maintain strong relationships with all facilities within the region(s) as their primary point of contact. They will proactively manage and nurture key relationships, maintain existing business, acquire new business, and improve low-performing facilities by effectively managing operations. This includes routinely visiting facilities, identifying opportunities to expand services, addressing negative trends and clinical service delivery issues, and responding immediately to facility requests and concerns. The RBM will provide field support to the clinical team, ensure referrals and related processes run as designed, monitor activity to meet facility needs, and grow facility caseloads while ensuring customer satisfaction. They will interface with facility administrators, directors of nursing services, and directors of social services, respond to urgent calls, facilitate problem-solving, and escalate issues as appropriate. Collaboration with regional business development staff is essential for developing new business and achieving regional goals. The role also involves supporting regional marketing strategies, coordinating new facility contracts, expanding services in existing accounts, and developing plans to manage and improve under-performing facilities. Networking within long-term care, mental health facilities, and local associations to generate new business is also a key responsibility.
