The Provider Account Executive is responsible for the full end-to-end sales cycle, developing sales and account management strategies, and identifying growth opportunities within their assigned territory and accounts. This role manages the sales process from lead generation and proposal/contract negotiations to deal closure and ongoing account management. The successful candidate will be expected to meet or exceed sales goals while upholding the highest standards of integrity, quality, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales and account management strategies to optimize target account selling, deal closure, and contract growth in existing accounts.
  • Generate new sales leads and identify new opportunities through networking, prospecting, and cold calling.
  • Leverage company-provided sales support services (marketing, public relations) to drive opportunities.
  • Lead target account selling, including prospecting, lead generation, qualification, scoping, and closing strategies.
  • Build strong, sustainable relationships with clients at various levels to understand their business goals and identify opportunities for contract growth.
  • Manage and resolve escalated customer challenges and roadblocks.
  • Develop and present insightful business reviews on client program performance, aligning with strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and actively participate in contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear understanding of client expectations and timely delivery of commitments.
  • Review sales and end-user performance, and upcoming requirements to develop growth plans with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with Partners to extend reach and drive product adoption.
  • Proactively prioritize sales and retention discussions with clients.
  • Maintain a real-time understanding of the competitive landscape to inform proposals and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Smile Digital Health's solution offerings, target customers, and product capabilities.
  • Participate in and contribute to sales planning and status meetings.
  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Comply with privacy, security, and confidentiality policies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive sales and closing expertise with quota-carrying experience in B2B software or technology sales.
  • Experience with long sales cycles and average deal values of $100K or more.
  • Post-Secondary education in business or a related field, or comparable related work experience.
  • Working experience and strong knowledge of healthcare tech industry drivers, including providers and government agencies.
  • Proven experience delivering client-focused solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships.
