Position Overview

Verily, a subsidiary of Alphabet, is revolutionizing healthcare through a data-driven approach to personal health management and healthcare delivery. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Vice President of Sales, Payers and Providers will be instrumental in defining, developing, executing, and supporting sales activities for Verily’s suite of products and solutions targeting Payer and Provider customer segments. This includes products such as Verily’s retinal service/Stargazer, Site CTMS, Lightpath, and future offerings. This role requires strong sales strategy, account management, technical sales, and sales execution capabilities. A key aspect of this position involves interfacing with external stakeholders and customers across the payor and provider landscape, as well as collaborating internally with Verily teams, including Leadership, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Legal.

This is a remote-based role with expected travel.


Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy: Define and execute a winning sales strategy and roadmap for Verily’s products and solutions, specifically addressing Payer and Provider customers, including Stargazer, Site CTMS, Lightpath, and other precision health solutions. Identify unique opportunities for differentiation and market leadership, aligning with Verily's mission.
  • Team Leadership: Empower and guide a high-performing sales team, foster a collaborative environment, and develop individual potential to drive commercial success.
  • Sales Process Management: Lead strategic sales processes from lead generation to closing, including presenting value propositions, identifying and addressing partner needs, negotiating business terms, and executing contracts.
  • Performance Accountability: Be accountable for Bookings, Revenue, Usage/Consumption, and Customer Satisfaction across the Payor and Provider customer segments.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong external relationships with customers and partners. Pursue channel partnerships to accelerate growth.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to lead the execution of our commercial strategy.
  • Customer Insight: Deeply understand and prioritize customer needs. Synthesize customer feedback to share with commercial, product, and marketing teams.
  • Culture Contribution: Contribute to improving and sustaining Verily's culture and operations, making it a better workplace.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with 15+ years of experience in payor/provider/healthcare B2B focused sales, strategic partnerships, and business development.
  • 7+ years of experience leading a sales team and managing them effectively.
  • Proven track record of successful sales history and consistent quota attainment.
  • Strong customer acumen, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to develop lasting relationships with senior decision-makers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in entrepreneurial / startup environments.
  • Proven ability to work with complex, technical software product offerings and processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Significant experience with payor and provider markets.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $265,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors.
