Required skills include networking with senior personnel, good judgment in selecting methods and techniques, experience working with project management teams, resolving conflict, meeting schedule timelines, excellent communication skills (verbal, written, documentation), the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, self-starter capabilities, in-depth experience with spreadsheets, presentation material, and project/process documentation, strong observational and analytical skills, proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and communicate project updates, and familiarity with various project management methodologies. Preferred qualifications include various certifications and change management knowledge.
The Program Manager III is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of internal information and system-specific projects from initiation to delivery, including network, server, software implementation, upgrades, and PC deployment. This role coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project requirements, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments, and developing detailed project plans. Responsibilities include managing implementation processes such as resource allocation, progress tracking, change control, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints. The role involves managing multiple, complex, cross-functional, and technical projects, partnering with functional teams throughout the project lifecycle, and managing/tracking program milestones, timelines, and overall deliverables. Key duties include creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, defining project scope and objectives, driving the project lifecycle from concept to closure, advocating change management, using metrics and KPIs to measure project performance, providing regular status updates, improving internal processes, removing gaps across teams, accounting for risks and providing mitigation strategies, serving as the primary project point of contact for vendors and stakeholders, coordinating meetings, and evaluating post-project results to recommend improvements.
