Position Overview

ConnectOS is seeking a skilled Presales Solution Architect with a strong background in the telecommunications or IT sector. This role is crucial for managing end-to-end RFP and tender responses, designing technical solutions, and building commercial models for prospective clients.


Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in a presales, solution architect, or bid response role within the telecommunications or IT sector.
  • RFP/Tender Management: Proven experience managing RFP/tender responses from start to finish, including content drafting, timeline management, and team coordination.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of VoIP, SIP, and PBX systems (cloud and hybrid).
    • Expertise in unified communications.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to structure deals, model pricing, and assess margins.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent proposal-writing skills with strong attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with AWS (VPCs, EC2, RDS, security, scalability).
  • Experience with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise or Microsoft Teams Calling.
  • Knowledge of hospitality platforms (e.g., Opera, Duve, HotelKey).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical aspects of proposals, managing and responding to RFPs and tenders.
  • Engage with prospective customers to understand their technical and commercial needs.
  • Design and document solution architectures for cloud PBX, SIP trunking, staff mobility, and contact centre environments.
  • Develop commercial models and pricing for proposals, ensuring competitive and financially viable offers.
  • Prepare quotes, scopes of work, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and detailed solution documentation.
  • Present and defend proposed solutions in customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Director and Delivery teams to ensure solution practicality, scalability, and supportability.
  • Provide feedback on the company's product roadmap and packaging based on market trends and customer insights.
