Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field, with over 5 years of experience writing for government IT procurement, specifically federal, state, and local RFPs and RFQs. A demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, and compliant prose is essential, along with familiarity with AI tools like GPT and LLMs for writing, editing, and research. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of meeting deadlines under tight timelines. Preferred qualifications include experience supporting proposal development in Agile, human-centered design, or custom software delivery environments, and a background in graphic or visual content creation.
The Technical Writer will support the Business Development team by drafting clear, accurate, and compelling responses to government RFPs and RFQs, translating complex technical concepts into accessible prose using modern methodology and technology. Responsibilities include collaborating with Client Solutions Managers, Proposal Managers, and SMEs to distill technical information, reviewing and editing proposal sections for compliance, clarity, and consistency, and mastering AI and LLM tools to streamline content development. The role also involves maintaining and updating a repository of reusable content, organizing and curating Nava’s library of core content, ensuring proposal templates and style guides are current, participating in solutioning sessions and reviews, providing guidance to SMEs on content development, and facilitating feedback loops to improve proposal processes.
