A strong working knowledge of local payroll and HR regulations and policies is essential, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines accurately. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to interact with clients and stakeholders, as are strong interpersonal skills for explaining complex issues.
The Payroll Expert will serve as a regional subject matter expert, responsible for end-to-end payroll execution in specific countries or regions. This includes evaluating and selecting relevant payroll software, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and preparing and reconciling internal payroll reports for compliance with local tax authorities. The role involves owning critical local payroll and HR processes, managing involuntary deductions, supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, scheduling payroll expense collections, and reconciling expenses. Additionally, the expert will assess and improve rapid growth processes, stay informed of regulatory changes, and communicate key changes across teams. They will also provide expertise on local payroll and HR matters and answer complex payroll and HR-related questions from employees and clients.
