Requirements

Candidates should have 4 years of experience processing payroll in a non-PEO environment, with a deep understanding of payroll processes and related federal, state, and local laws. Experience reviewing and auditing timecards for errors, ensuring correct application of pay rules, benefits deductions, and garnishments in the payroll system is required. Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and data visualization, is necessary, and Dayforce experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

The Payroll Analyst will manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly and biweekly pay cycles, ensuring accurate and timely payments. This includes managing payroll operations, handling employee payroll inquiries, and collaborating with Accounting for proper general ledger recording. The role involves processing special pay items, driving process improvements and automation, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and owning state payroll tax compliance, including registrations and filings. Responsibilities also include executing and updating payroll processes for audit purposes, maintaining general ledger codes, reconciling payroll logs with the People Team, and managing benefit vendor funding for 401k, FSA, and HSA deductions.
