Candidates must have 5 or more years of experience in the Higher Education Industry and 5 or more years of experience working with Ellucian Colleague®, demonstrating advanced user proficiency. Required qualifications include proficiency in running payroll using the Colleague Human Resources module, expertise in navigating complex HR and payroll processes, and in-depth knowledge of HR regulations in the higher education environment. Proven experience troubleshooting complex payroll issues, developing innovative solutions, and planning/executing Colleague Human Resources module implementations are essential. Experience in a consulting capacity focusing on business process enhancement and efficiency creation is necessary, along with the ability to troubleshoot technical and functional issues within Colleague®. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach are required, as is the ability to travel up to 25%.
The Colleague Consultant will provide implementation services, including training, functional consulting, and technical support for Ellucian Colleague® at client sites. Responsibilities include analyzing current HR and payroll processes, suggesting technological improvements for efficiency, and reviewing HR and payroll data for accuracy to maximize system functionality. The consultant will address HR and payroll-related questions and issues in a timely manner, maintaining understanding of accounting and budgeting, the legal employment environment, reporting and year-end processes, and Colleague Self-Service implementation and use. Working knowledge of key third-party systems related to time entry, HR onboarding, and payroll vendors is also required, along with collaborating professionally with college and university stakeholders.
