Position Overview

Valet Living is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a team of Area Leaders, optimize operational processes, and ensure the delivery of top-notch service to clients. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Salary Range: $61,000 - $71,000
  • Bonus Target: 15% of annual salary, paid quarterly
  • Auto Allowance & Reimbursement: Bi-weekly fixed contribution + monthly variable mileage reimbursement
  • Work Environment: Field-based role requiring frequent travel within the assigned market. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Coach, mentor, and support Area Leaders to drive engagement and accountability.
    • Identify future leaders and support their professional growth.
    • Lead by example, working alongside Area Leaders to support frontline teams, including occasional participation in daily tasks.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Utilize data analysis and insights to improve processes, productivity, and service delivery.
    • Perform site visits to ensure service quality and safety standards are upheld.
    • Step in as necessary to ensure seamless service continuity.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and report on financial performance.
  • Staffing Strategy:
    • Forecast staffing needs and collaborate with Recruiting to maintain team coverage.
  • Systems Compliance & Training:
    • Lead training initiatives and enforce standards for systems usage, safety, and service protocols.
  • Client Partnership:
    • Collaborate with Sales and Account Executives to ensure client satisfaction and resolve issues.
    • Identify opportunities to expand services and grow existing client relationships.
  • Fleet & Inventory Management:
    • Oversee vehicle compliance, maintenance, and warehouse inventory.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead assigned projects from start to finish.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 5-7 years of leadership experience with budget and reporting responsibility.
    • General Manager experience preferred.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to manage and develop teams while driving results.
    • Strong Excel and data analysis skills for decision-making.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Passion for delivering outstanding service and building lasting relationships.
    • Familiarity with hiring, talent development, and performance management.
    • Ability to think on your feet, make sound decisions, and motivate teams under pressure.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; comfortable navigating new platforms.
  • Other:
    • Valid Driver’s License required.
    • Ability to travel regularly throughout the market.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to navigate stairs.
    • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
    • Comfortable working around unpleasant odors when needed.
