Logistics Operations Analyst

Position Overview

Dandy is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Analyst to join our growing logistics team. This role is crucial for driving process improvements, managing shipping performance, and providing insights to inform strategic decisions. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager – Logistics, you will play a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and high-quality logistics performance across the organization as we modernize the dental industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Collect, analyze, and report on logistics and shipping performance data across all sites.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and regular reporting tools to monitor KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, cost per shipment, carrier performance, issue resolution timelines).
  • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement through root cause analysis.
• Process Improvement Support:
  • Assist in process mapping, documentation, and improvement initiatives in logistics workflows.
  • Conduct time and cost studies to evaluate current operations and support continuous improvement projects.
  • Track the effectiveness of implemented solutions and adjust strategies as needed.
• Carrier & Vendor Analysis:
  • Support the Operations Manager in evaluating carrier performance and preparing negotiation data.
  • Monitor compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from internal stakeholders to assess carrier effectiveness.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering, and Product Development to gather feedback and share logistics insights.
  • Help translate stakeholder feedback into actionable logistics improvements.
• Packaging Optimization Support:
  • Collect data and perform cost-benefit analysis on packaging options.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by evaluating packaging efficiency and waste reduction strategies.
• Escalation Support & Issue Tracking:
  • Assist in tracking and managing escalations related to shipping and logistics.
  • Provide analytical support to internal teams during issue resolution processes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in supply chain operations or data analysis roles, preferably within a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Looker, and data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally and present data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience in International logistics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth operational environment.
• Familiarity with packaging and sustainability practices in logistics.
• Exposure to budget tracking and cost analysis in shipping/logistics contexts.
