Job Description: Access Control Sales Specialist

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $104,825.00 (base pay may vary based on factors like location, education, training, and experience)

Location Type: Remote - Tennessee

Position Overview

As a leader in the Smart Home industry, we possess one of the largest IoT install bases, featuring innovative products such as cameras, locks, card readers, garage door openers, and gates, all powered by our myQ digital ecosystem. This role is within Chamberlain Group's Sales function, focused on expanding our access control strategy for the Community and Facility end-user segments.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new security distributors to build out Chamberlain Group's access control strategy for the Community and Facility end-user segments.
  • Build product awareness, adoption, and sales growth in the security distribution channel through regular engagement with dealers and prospects.
  • Support dealer engagement initiatives with segment end users in collaboration with Chamberlain Group’s New Business Development and National Integrator teams.
  • Represent Chamberlain Group at industry trade shows, councils, and networking events.
  • Facilitate trainings for distributor sales teams, specification teams, their dealers, and Chamberlain Group’s direct dealers.
  • Support the implementation of go-to-market strategies developed by Chamberlain Group’s product marketing, engineering, business development, and new product development teams to achieve successful new product deployment.
  • Build competitive product knowledge to position the value of Chamberlain Group’s entire portfolio of products/services and expertise to expand market positioning; regularly train, consult, and mentor others.
  • Track and record all distribution activities and sales opportunities in SalesForce.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge across the access control and system integrator spaces.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% - domestically and internationally.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or Communications.
  • Work experience in the Security Industry / Access Control Industry.
  • Proficiency in sales systems, mechanical aptitude, consultative selling, and electrical engineering.
