Requirements
Candidates must have 1 to 2 years of demonstrated sales experience, an active health insurance license or willingness to obtain one, and the ability to obtain a release if contracted with another firm. Proficiency in computer use for daily activities, multitasking while on the phone, excellent communication and listening skills, a self-starter attitude with emotional control, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required. Preferred qualifications include 1 to 2 years of Medicare sales experience and Medicare call center experience. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
Responsibilities
The Medicare Sales Specialist will educate existing Medicare members on available plan offerings, conduct compliant presentations, and acquire new members through inbound and outbound campaigns. They will assess customer needs, service existing members, cross-sell applicable products, and maintain high compliance with CMS and state regulations. Responsibilities also include multitasking, effective computer use, participating in audits and coaching, capturing information in the CRM, and meeting sales goals and acquisition metrics. The role requires an expert understanding of company products and MAPD/DSNP offerings, and the ability to pass annual certifications.
