Requirements

Candidates must possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with excellent attention to detail. Required skills include strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities, with a particular aptitude for identifying and clearly articulating inconsistencies and issues. Familiarity with ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, MSP, COBRA, ACA, and WHCRA is essential. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Plan Documents Specialist, Jr. will support client onboarding by preparing and managing benefit plan documentation, including Summary of Material Modification, plan amendments, and Summary of Benefits and Coverage. This role involves conducting section-by-section reviews of plan documents, drafting and finalizing standard benefit plan documents, and assisting in the creation of Summary Plan Descriptions. Responsibilities also include identifying missing information for document preparation, submitting finalized documents to relevant parties, ensuring accuracy and seamless coverage through necessary updates, and managing a portfolio of mid-market accounts or assigned projects. The specialist will stay current on relevant laws and regulations, escalate client issues as needed, and may assist in training junior team members and supporting client communications.
