Manager, Marketing Analytics & Forecasting

Employment Type: Full-time Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000 Location Type: Hybrid (#LI-HYBRID)

Position Overview

The Dow Jones Marketing team is seeking a strategic and analytically strong Manager, Marketing Analytics and Forecasting. This role requires deep expertise in forecasting and financial scenario planning. You will be responsible for building scenario planning tools to predict the impact of marketing strategy and budget allocation changes on key business outcomes, including order volume and revenue, in both the short and long term. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Strategy, and Performance Marketing teams to deliver actionable insights and influence our go-to-market strategy. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Analytics, this position is crucial for supporting executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain tools to forecast order volume, revenue, and marketing-driven performance.
  • Lead financial scenario planning efforts to quantify the impact of strategy shifts (e.g., channel mix, campaign timing, spend changes) on business outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Marketing to align forecasting inputs with overall business planning cycles and goals.
  • Create dynamic financial models that reflect different assumptions, time horizons, and business scenarios (e.g., best/worst case).
  • Analyze historical performance to identify key drivers of revenue and conversion across channels and customer segments.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, data-driven narrative.
  • Help design and implement frameworks for long-term revenue planning that integrate marketing and business strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing Analytics focused on the Media Industry, FP&A, or business analytics, with a strong focus on forecasting and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing scenario planning models tied to revenue and orders.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and statistical tools (e.g., Python, R).
  • Deep understanding of marketing funnel metrics and how they tie into financial outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, including experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
