Candidates must have over 7 years of experience in technology sales with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets. They should possess the ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into consultative sales, demonstrate excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels, and exhibit the diligence and organizational skills required for long, intricate sales cycles. The role also requires the ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, a passion for inclusive teamwork, and experience with SQL or a willingness to learn.
The Majors Sales Director will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle from lead generation to ongoing utilization for enterprise prospects, organizing Proof of Concept (POC) implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise, and winning 20 new dbt Cloud Enterprise customers per year after ramp-up. They will also lead and contribute to team projects aimed at developing the sales process, collaborate with the product team to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap, become an expert in SQL, dbt, and enterprise data operations, and actively participate in the dbt open source community.
