Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field or commensurate experience is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of business to business (B2B) sales experience, preferably metals related
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to deal with opposing opinions and effect compromise, customer service oriented
  • Time management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task, while maintaining accuracy and functionality
  • Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to travel on occasion, as required
  • Willing to work extended hours to meet objectives
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the USA

Responsibilities

  • Perform all facets of Inside Sales duties and act as support for Outside Sales by developing new leads and building relationships with customers to secure the greatest volume of profitable sales
  • Responsible for order solicitation, pricing and quotations, order write-up, expediting, claims processing, and general telephone work as well as assuming responsibility for accounts and projects
  • Understand the roles and functions of various departments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Keep up-to-date on competitor activity within the industry (e.g., pricing, product developments, policies, company changes) and report all significant information to Sales Management and Outside Sales Representatives
