Requirements

  • Associate's in Business/Marketing; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Driver's License - Licensing Board and insurable by Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier (Upon Hire)
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred: Experience in HME services and products

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a sales plan for the designated market territory to support referral acquisition, retention, and growth
  • Allocates time to referral/prospect contacts focused on customer needs and organizational solutions to meet or exceed established sales objectives
  • Serves as liaison to system for customer needs/wants/desires, market intelligence, and issues resolution
  • Develops sales plans for target audiences and territories
  • Increases sales revenue for new and established accounts based on established sales goals through HME specific account management, cross-selling, and up-selling of products and services
  • Manages HME sales to target goal in conjunction with leadership team
  • Obtains input for referral contact and topic of contact from HME Access Services, Branch, leadership team, and Avera/non-Avera referral sources
  • Completes and communicates sales reports in a timely manner
  • Interfaces with the service delivery team to develop customer service standards
  • Utilizes customer service and clinical/service line staff to support the sales effort
  • Directly involved in problem resolution for referral and end-user
  • Manages Activity Tracker to document sales visits and report referral dissatisfaction areas and/or needs to Leadership
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of payer qualification and/or documentation requirements and communicates requirements to referral source
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of HME products and services, clinical expertise, and communicates function and benefit to referral source
  • Provides input for product and program development
  • Evaluates industry changes and new technology and communicates to referrals and leadership
  • Works with HME branch leadership to determine and implement appropriate products, equipment, and services
  • Participates in trade shows and health fairs representing Avera
  • Assists with operational needs for Avera when needed
  • Commits to the daily application of Avera’s mission, vision, core values, and social principles
