Requirements

Candidates must be willing to live within 30 miles of the designated sales territory. A BA or BS degree in Marketing/Sales/Retail Management or an equivalent combination of experience is required. A minimum of 1 year of Marketing/Sales/Retail experience is necessary, with 2 years preferred. Experience in the outdoor, sports, or athletic industry is highly preferred. Knowledge of performance athletic footwear, sport bras, apparel, accessories, and their related technologies is essential. Basic knowledge of retail math, inventory management, product merchandising, and retail selling skills is needed. Strong organizational skills, including managing a calendar, contacts, and a budget, are required, along with excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to work independently and within a team is crucial, as is a highly motivated and hardworking attitude with strong interpersonal skills. Understanding the sport of running is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Guru Field Representative will lead and manage field support efforts for Brooks at specialty and big box accounts within the territory. They will support sales and marketing teams with product launches, in-store merchandising, and grassroots programs. Responsibilities include collaborating with sales management and marketing on sell-through programs and promotions, educating retail associates and consumers about Brooks' technology and products through clinics and events, and representing Brooks at national and local running events. The role involves completing weekly field notes, potentially featuring in product videos, managing a yearly product seeding and corporate card budget, completing expense reports monthly, and maintaining the appearance and functionality of a leased company vehicle and Brooks equipment. A key responsibility is achieving established sell-through goals for a pre-determined store base.
