About Warp

Warp is an automated back-office platform for startups. Warp lets you set up HR, payroll, and tax compliance for your team in just 10 minutes. Using AI Agents, we automate all state tax registrations and filings, monitor for compliance across hundreds of tax jurisdictions, enabling founders to never waste time on HR ops ever again.

We have raised $24M from top investors like Y Combinator, A-Star, Elad Gil, Drew Houston (CEO, Dropbox), Arash Ferdowsi (CTO, Dropbox), Balajis, Kyle Vogt (CEO, Cruise Automation) and SV Angel.

Some of the fastest growing startups today already run on Warp. We are growing quickly, and are on track to be processing $1BN in payroll transactions annually by end of 2025. In this next phase, we have some amazing infra, engineering, product, and GTM opportunities ahead of us this year, and we are looking for exceptional members to join us for this adventure.

About The Role

We are hiring a Community and Events Lead who will directly work with the CEO and GTM team. You will design and grow our founder community, own our event slate, and turn relationships into awareness about Warp and organic brand growth. You will be our face in the market and the architect of programs that help founders discover and love Warp.

What You’ll Do

  • Build Warp’s community strategy and roadmap
  • Produce founder dinners, roundtables, AMAs, pop-ups, and a flagship summit; own programming, logistics, and follow-up
  • Represent Warp at demo days, meetups, and partner events; deepen relationships with founders, investors, and operators
  • Launch scalable programs such as founder-in-residence, referral loops, and ambassador tracks
  • Stand up and moderate digital spaces to keep conversations active
  • Capture feedback and share insights with Product, Marketing, and Growth
  • Define and track KPIs including engagement, pipeline influence, and referrals

What You Need

  • 2+ years leading community, events, partnerships, or GTM at a startup, VC, or accelerator
  • Strong network in the Bay Area tech scene and credibility with early-stage founders
  • Proven end-to-end event execution, from concept to recap
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Bias for action and comfort working in undefined processes
  • Ability to set goals, analyze results, and iterate quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a founder or early employee at a breakout startup
  • Track record of driving revenue or pipeline through community programs
  • Portfolio of self-hosted events or community projects
  • Familiarity with design and brand standards
  • Interest in the back-office pain points Warp solves (payroll, compliance, finance)

Working At Warp

This is not going to be a routine 9-5 job. Working with us means having high ownership. You may need to stay up late fixing issues or deploying something urgent. We believe in high craftsmanship, obsessing over details, and giving it our best. And we do that alongside an incredibly driven and top-tier team.

Unlike traditional terminals, Warp focuses on collaboration and supports various engineering workflows, making it more intuitive for modern developers and teams. The company differentiates itself by prioritizing user feedback to create a product that truly meets the needs of software development and DevOps processes.
