Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Standard computer skills required; SAP experience preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Specialized knowledge of truck and trailer mechanical systems
  • Supervisory experience managing maintenance supervisors and/or road service team members
  • Understanding of DOT compliance and safety
  • Willingness to travel 1 or 2 times annually
  • Resume required to be considered

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the maintenance of private fleet equipment, storage trailers, and various plant equipment
  • Manage and perform contracts from 3rd party maintenance suppliers (e.g., Pilot TA)
  • Oversee the in-service of newly acquired assets and facilitation of recently sold assets
  • Manage wrecked assets for long-haul and grow-out fleet, including repair buyout decisions and facilitating CIRs for complex total losses
  • Re-position wrecked equipment using the wrecker fleet (3 drivers)
  • Act as liaison between supplier shops and operations for private fleet
  • Work with current MS on trading equipment
  • Manage Road Service Maintenance Supervisors
  • Correct and drive efficiency with billing procedures with suppliers
  • Drive out maintenance costs through effective preventive maintenance strategies
  • Coordinate with operations to provide low-cost options for over-the-road maintenance
  • Responsible for maintenance exceeding $35 million annually
