  • High School Degree/GED
  • 1 year of leadership experience in management or supervisory roles
  • 3 years of experience in gas meter exchanges as well as pilot relights or similar natural gas operations experience
  • Willing to travel up to 70% of the time managing multiple projects across the US
  • Ability to become a proctor and evaluator for operator qualifications required to perform natural gas meter exchanges and relights
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Preferred: 2 or more years of management experience
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience in water, gas, and electric meter installation project management
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as a team
  • Exceptional flexibility in daily routines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with management and customers
  • Ability to interact with unhappy or negative customers in a professional manner

Responsibilities

  • Direct personnel, staffing, training, planning, and oversee operations and fiscal health
  • Maintain excellent customer services while managing field service operations for groups of employees
  • Plan and maintain work systems, procedures, and policies to enable and encourage optimum employee performance
  • Manage and maintain workforce, including ensuring health and safety
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained in clean, safe, and proper working condition
  • Ensure productivity levels are maintained through monitoring staffing levels and financial requirements
  • Develop employee-oriented company culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, retention, development, and high performance
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding
  • Guide personnel to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Follow fleet standards and vehicle operating policies
  • Control maintenance and repair of vehicles
  • Train personnel on safety and accident prevention programs
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures related to essential job functions
  • Collaborate with management personnel
  • Formulate departmental goals, strategies, operating policies, and procedures, and direct implementation of approved changes
  • Prepare department forecast and monitor expenses against forecast
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports related to meter reading
  • Complete quality control audits on field personnel monthly
  • Make recommendations on employees regarding employment, performance appraisals, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations
  • Provide written communication on operations economy/efficiency, quality control, production/personnel scheduling, and client relationships
  • Work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ appropriate number of employees
  • Refer consumer complaints to appropriate authorities
  • Ensure all complaints are resolved timely and acceptably to clients
  • Train employees on conflict resolution strategies
