Requirements

Candidates must be US citizens eligible for a low-level security clearance and possess a Bachelor's degree. They should have over 8 years of federal contracting experience in capture and/or business development, with a proven track record of winning prime contracts valued at over $100M. Experience with IT initiatives like agile, cloud, IT modernization, cybersecurity, and data analytics is required, along with a strong understanding of federal acquisition strategies, contract vehicles, budgeting processes (including SBIR), and various contract types. Deep familiarity with DoD missions, particularly Air Force customer domains, is strongly preferred. Excellent presentation, writing, and executive-level communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

The VP of DoD will lead high-value opportunities within federal customers, managing the full business development lifecycle for strategic bids. This includes hands-on pursuit leadership, executive client engagement, strategic teaming, and market shaping. The role involves shaping account growth strategies across the DoD market and leading teams through stakeholder engagement from qualification to award. Experience in proposal writing and management for technical and business use cases is also a key responsibility.
