Candidates must have 8+ years of experience as an Account Manager, with a strong background in growing the Federal Government line of business. A proven ability to communicate professionally with all organizational levels, both in-person and virtually, is essential. Understanding of Federal Government contract vehicles such as GSA MAS, GSA HACS, FAA eFAST, EAGLE II, ESI, and others is required, along with knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement laws and regulations. Experience in technical federal sourcing and sales, particularly with advanced cybersecurity solutions and services, is necessary. Familiarity with the cybersecurity services/operations landscape, including managed security services, is a plus.
The Federal Business Development Manager will be responsible for calling on C-suite and executive-level personnel within Federal Government agencies and qualified organizations to sell products and services. This includes prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and generating leads and referrals to gain new business. The role requires meeting and exceeding sales objectives for revenue and gross profit, executing and managing the entire sales cycle, and developing detailed account strategies. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing strategies to expand market position, building and maintaining positive relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, and successfully positioning new solutions. The manager will utilize Salesforce for accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking, manage the sales funnel, and generate reports on sales activities. They will serve as the primary interface for all products and services, creating demand by raising their profile with customers, adapting communication styles for different audiences, confidently handling sales negotiations, and creating and presenting executive-level presentations. Additionally, the role involves working cross-functionally with Legal, Contracts, and Presales to draft contract forms.
