Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with 1-3 years of experience in federal sales, business development, lead generation, within the cloud native, cybersecurity or devops industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in CRM systems like HubSpot CRM or Salesforce, and excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, products, and services is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Federal Business Development Representative, you will develop and implement strategic business plans to identify and pursue new opportunities within the public sector, establish relationships with key stakeholders, and align business development strategies with organizational goals and government regulations. You will prospect and identify potential clients in the security sales market using various lead generation techniques, conduct thorough research on prospects, generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads, qualify leads, schedule meetings and product demos, collaborate with the sales team, maintain accurate records in the CRM system, stay current on industry trends, and provide feedback to marketing and product teams.
