Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D., with a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership and management experience. A minimum of 3 years of P&L experience is required, along with previous experience in the environmental services industry, employment by a Fortune 500 company, and experience in labor relations.
The General Manager is responsible for leading a Business Unit with full profit and loss responsibility, managing an infrastructure team including Operations, Fleet Management, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Environmental Engineering. They will execute local market strategies, implement tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement, and manage all matters related to collection, onsite service, and post-collections. The role involves representing the company to external stakeholders, overseeing safety and accident prevention programs, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving change management initiatives. Additionally, the General Manager formulates business unit strategy, defines success metrics, conducts business analyses, manages strategic alliances, markets business relationships, and collaborates with product development, marketing, and sales departments for go-to-market activities and content creation.
