Candidates must have a demonstrated sales track record with Tier 1 and Tier 2 government customers, ideally with 5-10 years of experience. A strong understanding of the public sector industry, particularly digital experience for customers, and knowledge of competitor solution footprints in the information systems marketplace are essential. The ability to work with prospects to understand business requirements and value models, adapt quickly, and articulate value propositions is crucial. Experience selling high-value, long lead-time enterprise solutions software ($500K and above), excellent new business development skills, a proven sales quota attainment track record, and strong communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational, and attention to detail skills are required. Proficiency as a networker, a high comfort level and presence with senior government executives, and an accomplished history of selling to business, technical, IT, and C-level executives are also necessary. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related area is needed, with approximately 50% regional travel by land and/or air.
The Enterprise Sales Account Director will run an enterprise sales territory focusing on state and local government customers, developing target named account strategies and tactical penetration plans. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships at the C-level and VP-level within defined target named accounts, and creating compelling value propositions based on return on investment and cost-benefit analysis. Responsibilities include successfully navigating the sales process by identifying potential business prospects, assessing their suitability, and finalizing new deals, as well as selling against annual revenue targets for software licenses and services. The Account Director will coordinate with pre-sales and professional services teams, supply creative ideas, participate in marketing events, and provide accurate and timely sales forecasts. Developing, maintaining, and strengthening third-party relationships is also a key responsibility.
