Requirements

  • Bachelor, Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in high-quality soldering, including SMT and fine-pitch components
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, datasheets, and assembly drawings
  • Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and function generators
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities
  • Bonus: IPC soldering certification (e.g., J-STD-001, IPC-A-610)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with microcontroller programming and firmware updates
  • Bonus: Experience with automated test systems or scripting (Python, LabVIEW, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision soldering and assembly of surface mount (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
  • Debug and troubleshoot electronic boards at the component and system level using schematics, multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment
  • Execute functional and system-level tests on electronic circuits and products following test procedures and protocols
  • Support engineering teams by building, modifying, and reworking prototypes
  • Maintain detailed records of test results, debug findings, and rework activities
  • Assist in the development and refinement of test setups, jigs, and fixtures
  • Follow ESD safety procedures, lab best practices, and company quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineers to provide feedback on design improvements and manufacturability
  • Manage lab equipment calibration, organization, and maintenance
