Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as electronics, physics, engineering, or computer science, or alternatively, have at least 3 years of equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience operating, repairing, and fixing complex equipment is essential. Familiarity with electron microscopy systems (TEM, SEM, SDB/LDB) is preferred.
The Field Service Engineer II will be responsible for conducting on-site installation of complex equipment, performing scheduled maintenance visits, providing repair support to customers and other field service personnel, cultivating customer relationships, completing field service reports, and maintaining system documentation. They will also provide training to customers and users, offer technical guidance, and collaborate with application scientists to solve customer challenges. Furthermore, the role involves providing input for system documentation updates, identifying and isolating problems, and acting as a subject matter expert.
