Candidates should possess over 10 years of program management experience in the consumer-facing technology industry, with a minimum of 5 years leading large, complex engineering programs in a cross-functional setting. A strong technical background is essential, including experience facilitating technical discussions related to hardware, power systems, electronics, and firmware. Proven ability to lead complex, multi-technology programs, align workstreams, and manage expectations across disciplines is required. Experience working with cross-functional teams such as product management, engineering, design, operations, supply chain, legal, and policy is necessary. Exceptional communication and presentation skills for conveying technical details to diverse audiences, along with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions in fast-paced environments, are critical. Experience in micro-mobility, bicycle, automotive, or related industries is preferred.
The Principal Engineering Program Manager will lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver next-generation vehicles, docking, and accessories from concept through launch. Responsibilities include facilitating deep technical discussions, managing product architecture, design/development tradeoffs, and technology integration. The role involves providing clear program health updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams, and leading through uncertainty by identifying and solving key issues. This position requires demonstrating strong financial discipline by owning and driving program costs and budgets, meeting financial targets through effective cost control and risk mitigation. Proactive identification and mitigation of program risks and issues, developing contingency plans, and championing process improvements within program management to drive best practices, operational efficiencies, and scalability are also key duties.
