Requirements

The Principal Engineer must possess a technical leadership capability to create and align on a Measurement vision at the Ads Org level for the next 2+ years, advocating for Ads performance by leading Ads Measurement and working across job functions. They should have expertise in Ads Measurement product and technologies, including Pixel, Conversions API, Event Deduplication, Events Manager, Signal Quality, Identity Resolution, and Ads Attribution. Furthermore, the candidate should have Ads experience spanning multiple Ads domains beyond Measurement, such as Optimization, Delivery, Targeting, Ranking, Bidding, and Reporting, and demonstrate a strong understanding of industry trends and a proven track record of driving high ad performance while adapting to evolving privacy constraints, including familiarity with Ads privacy challenges like GDPR, CCPA, ePD, and ATT.

Responsibilities

This role requires understanding the current and future state of the business and converting business problems into engineering solutions, defining the long-term technical vision and strategy for Ads Measurement, leading large cross-functional projects end to end, identifying opportunities to improve Ads performance by diving deep into the platform, designing and developing cutting-edge products and solutions for Ads Measurement, collaborating with engineering and XFN leaders, data scientists, and other engineers, mentoring staff engineers and leaders, sharing industry knowledge, and staying updated on state-of-the-art products and techniques.
