Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, air tools)
Ability to read blueprints and schematics (desired)
Ability to solder
Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Ability to frequently use hand tools
Ability to sit for long periods and occasionally stand for short periods
Ability to lift and/or carry objects of small size (2lbs - 5lbs)
Ability to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
Ability to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Specific vision abilities (close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus)

Responsibilities

Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools
Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles
Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies
Work with other Production Technicians and Engineering to correct and improve assembly process documents
Work with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs
Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork is completed
May train other technicians on assembly processes
Conduct in-process quality checks
Follow established procedures on routine work
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Apply acquired job skills, company policies, and procedures to complete assigned tasks
Work with engineering on new product development efforts
Take ownership and responsibility for work products
Excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Focus on teamwork and collaboration
