Requirements

Candidates must possess proven data analytics sales experience, with a demonstrated success in selling analytics software solutions within the data infrastructure, database, open source, messaging, or big data space. A results-oriented mentality and a proven ability to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities are essential. Strong technical acumen, including a solid understanding of data streaming concepts, Kafka, and the Confluent platform, is required, along with the ability to effectively communicate technical value to both technical and business audiences. A desire to succeed as a team and work with others, along with executive presence, is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The DSP Sales Specialist will develop and execute a regional go-to-market strategy to identify key personas and a GTM motion for emerging products and solutions, aligning with Confluent's strategic goals. This includes defining clear objectives, target segments, and KPIs, and creating targeted sales campaigns to drive awareness and interest in Confluent's Shift Left solutions. The role involves becoming an expert in the sales motion for Confluent’s latest product releases and new solutions, clearly articulating the value proposition of Confluent's streaming platform to technical and business audiences. Responsibilities also include proactively prospecting and developing a robust sales pipeline, engaging with Confluent sales account teams to build expansion opportunities, and identifying/qualifying potential customers and business partners. The specialist will create and deliver persuasive presentations, tailor them to specific needs, engage with key stakeholders to understand pain points and business objectives, and execute new customer data streaming projects by helping customers design future-state solutions and implementation plans. Collaboration with partner organizations on joint go-to-market plans, co-marketing initiatives, and sales enablement programs is expected, as is maintaining a deep understanding of the evolving data streaming landscape and building strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
